Q: What is the SkinPen Microneedling Experience Like?

Most patients tolerate SkinPen Microneedling extremely well. Your provider will apply a topical numbing cream before treatment. During treatment, our Aestheticians will move the SkinPen device in a circular motion across the skin. You may feel slight prickly sensations in the areas being actively treated. The treatment typically lasts roughly 30-45 minutes.

Q: What is the Difference Between SkinPen Microneedling and At Home Microneedling?

While at-home microneedling rollers may promise to deliver the same results as SkinPen Microneedling, they simply cannot. At-home microneedling rollers will improve the skin’s tone and texture some, but professionally-administered versions like SkinPen Microneedling are where dramatic skin changes occur. The needles can be adjusted to varying depths and the use of topical numbing cream allows for a deeper needle depth than you’d be able to achieve at home, further enhancing results.

Q: What to Expect Post Treatment?

You can resume daily activities immediately without restriction. The recovery period is minimal, with mild redness for the day following your treatment, much like a moderate sunburn. You will begin to notice smoother, tighter skin after your treatment, but it will take a full 4-6 months to see the full results from the increased collagen production.

Q: How Many Microneedling Treatments Do I Need?
